“Curious Calves” features an oil painting of two moose calves romping through brush around a champagne gold leaf pond. The calves stumble upon two downy woodpeckers. Their mother watches from the lake in a mountain landscape full of flowers.
This oil painting measures 40 x 30” (h x w) with a 2 inch cradled panel edge. The edges are painted a solid color to coordinate with the depicted scene so it doesn’t need to be framed and is ready to hang.
Each painting begins with a drawing on the panel surface. Metal-leaf and multiple layers of oil paint are added to complete the piece.
