My art is deeply inspired by nature, wildlife, and my life in the North Country of New Hampshire. After earning my MA in Art with concentrations in Painting and Photography, I transitioned into a full-time wedding and portrait photographer, with my work featured in several major publications, including The Washington Post. Over time, my passion for animals and nature led me back to drawing and painting—first as a personal outlet, then as a central part of my artistic practice.

In 2023, my husband Nate and I, along with our Pekingese King Louis, Mini Aussie Jack, and our pack of Siberian Huskies, left Indianapolis and moved to the White Mountains of Northern New Hampshire. Seeking space, fresh air, and closer access to nature, we found ourselves surrounded by an abundance of wildlife, from porcupines and foxes to lunar moths and blue jays, all visible in our own backyard. This immersion in nature has become a driving force in my work.

As I continued traveling for photography, I fell in love with digital art. My iPad became a portable studio—allowing me to sketch, experiment with composition, and layer intricate drawings on the go. These hand-drawn digital pieces, rich in texture and detail, laid the groundwork for my current series. As my travel schedule eased, I returned to oil painting—my first love—with renewed energy. Combining digital sketches with traditional techniques and metal leaf, this latest body of work reflects a deep reverence for light, movement, and the natural world.
